International Organization of Women Pilots
The Ninety-Nines is the international organization of women pilots that promotes advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support while honoring our unique history and sharing our passion for flight. Established in 1929 by 99 women pilots, the members of The Ninety-Nines, Inc., International Organization of Women Pilots, are represented in all areas of aviation today.
Our chapter activities include: safety seminars, painting compass roses and airmarkings at airports, educational outreach at schools and Girl Scouts of America events, participation in and assisting with air races, flying competition judging, and group fly-ins.
Our meetings are planned for the third Monday of each month. Please see our Meetings & Events page for dates and locations.
If you are a pilot, currently learning to fly, or are just interested in flying, please contact us or visit us at one of our meetings. We enjoy the fellowship and support that we give to each other as well as the terrific sense of accomplishment when we are allowed to share with others and our community what the Old Dominion 99s are all about.
