Please note that we are rotating meeting dates between the first and second Thursdays of each month to ensure all members can attend at least one of the dates.

October 23 2010 Leesburg Airport Open House. Old Dominion chapter will have a table. Volunteers needed to man the booth. Contact Rose if you would like to volunteer. RSVP

Sept. 24-25 2010 Mid-Atlantic Section meeting at Frederick Airport hosted by the DC & Sugarloaf Chapters. Please register to attend. Cost is $25.

Sept. 16-19 2010 Fly-out to Festival of Grapes in Silver Creek, NY. See Interim August Skylines for information. Tentative plans: Arrive Friday KDKK, dinner at Fireman''''''''s Club; Saturday AM flight to Niagara Falls; Saturday afternoon attend Festival of Grapes; Sunday depart east to KITH for lunch on field. Please contact Rose to let her know you are interested so car rental and hotel arrangements can be made. RSVP

Sept. 11-12 Sandra Fox (from Sugarloaf 99s) is coordinating the painting of the Compass Rose at KHGR. It is a big rose and a lot of work and the Sugarloaf Chapter desperately needs your help. 49.5s are welcome! Contact Sandra Fox if you can volunteer for one or both days.

June 22-25 2010 Air Race Classic: Fort Myers, FL to Frederick, MD (2157.7 nm/2483.0 sm)

June 11-13, 2010 Ocracoke Fly-in. Make your reservations at the Ocracoke Harbor Inn, Ocracoke, NC. We will coordinate the specific arrival times as we get closer to the date, but the plan is to call the hotel when you land and they will come to the airport to pick you up. Please call 888 456-1998 to make your reservations and ask for Linda or Brenda. They have the list with the name, room number and the confirmation number. If you will not be able to make it and have a room assigned, please let me know. You need to call between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday–Friday to confirm your reservations and provide a credit card number. Contact RJ for more information. Email RJ

October 25 2009 The October chapter meeting will be at the Flying Circus Aerodrome in Bealeton, VA, at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, October 25. The show begins at 2:30 p.m. This gives us time to have a brief meeting and walk around the fantastic antique flying machines up close and talk to the pilots and wing walker. Biplane rides are available after the show. Please bring a picnic lunch for yourself and a comfortable lawn chair. There are backless bleachers available. This Air Show will be the last for the season. Tickets are $10 for adults. See the October Skylines or www.flyingcircusairshow.com for directions.

October 9-11 2009 The 2009 Mid-Atlantic Section Meeting hosted by the Shenandoah Valley and the Virginia Chapter has been scheduled for October 9-11 in downtown Staunton, VA, at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel & Conference Center.
